First Impressions of Bermuda

We arrived in St Georges around 5pm on Saturday and had to wait for one boat to come off the customs dock before we could clear in, it was a swift and friendly process with a warm welcome to Bermuda. We anchored and relaxed so exciting to be here.

It's a bit surreal to be here and I can't quite get my head around this amazing island with amazing infrastructure, historic buildings and welcoming harbours being so far out in the Atlantic Ocean. We spent two lovely nights at St Georges, explored the town and had our first Dark n Stormy cocktail in the White Horse pub (had to be done) with a group of the Salty Dawgs. Then yesterday we sailed around to the capital Hamilton and anchored off the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club where we were welcomed by the Vice Commodore. On the way here we got to witness two of the Americas Cup teams out practising and at one point got ushered off the race course - an amazing sight.
